Has anyone looked into the significance of the area where Wayne Buckley's truck was found? The Sleepy Hollow trailhead in the Strawberry Reservoir area seems like such an odd place for someone with advanced-stage emphysema to end up if he didn't have any outdoor plans. Given his condition, I find it hard to believe he would have ventured far from his vehicle on foot. Could he have arranged to meet someone there or perhaps planned to stay in his truck? Maybe there's a reason that specific location was chosen, either by him or someone else. It's also worth noting that his vehicle was found days after his disappearance — was there any indication it had been tampered with or any personal belongings inside that could give more clues about his intentions?
I find it strange that Wayne Buckley specifically chose Mount Pleasant to register his vehicle so late in the evening, especially given his reported health issues. Why wasn't it done earlier in the day? Was there any reason he didn't do it closer to home? The timing and location just seem odd. I wonder if someone might have suggested this particular plan to him, or if he had some other motive to be in that area at such an unusual hour. If anyone has more insights into his usual habits or any connections he might have had in Mount Pleasant, it could help shed some light on this mysterious disappearance.
Has anyone been exploring the details around Wayne Buckley’s truck being found near Sleepy Hollow trailhead? I'm curious why that specific area—Strawberry Reservoir is pretty isolated and not exactly the easiest place to end up unintentionally, especially considering Wayne's health. Could he have known the area well enough to go there on purpose, perhaps planning for a camping trip despite his condition? Or did he just desperately need some solitude and underestimated the challenges posed by his emphysema? It's perplexing, given that though the place is beautiful, it isn’t somewhere you'd just wander off considering the effort it takes to reach such a spot. Just trying to wrap my head around why someone with his health constraints would be in such a remote area without a clear plan. What do you all think?
