Carmen Forsythe has been missing since June 15, 2015, and her case still needs attention.
Carmen was 20 years old when she was last seen in Salem, Oregon. At the time, she was reportedly living a transient lifestyle. According to available information, Carmen left Oregon with three unidentified homeless men and was believed to be heading toward California.
After arriving in California, Carmen contacted her aunt to let her know she had made it safely. She also said she was planning to travel to Chico, California, and sent a few text messages saying she would call once she arrived there. Sadly, that call never came. After those messages, Carmen was never heard from again.
Carmen is described as 5'8" tall and approximately 200 pounds, with brown hair. She was only 20 years old when she vanished.
Despite the passage of time, there appears to have been very little progress in finding Carmen or uncovering what happened after she said she was heading to Chico. The three men she reportedly traveled with have not been publicly identified, and it is unclear who may have last seen her after she reached California.
Someone may know where Carmen went, who she was with, or what happened after her last messages to her aunt. Even a detail that seems small could be important after all these years.
Carmen’s case remains open. If you have any information about Carmen Forsythe’s disappearance, her movements after June 15, 2015, or the people she may have been traveling with, please contact the appropriate law enforcement agency. Her family deserves answers, and Carmen deserves to be found.
