Hi everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Bernard Meshawn Beard, and I wanted to bring up the topic of community impact and response. It's so sad to see how his death was just one part of a wave of violence that hit Oakland in 2017. Does anyone know if there were any community meetings or vigils held in his memory? Sometimes these events not only help the families to cope but also raise awareness on the broader issue of violence in the area. It would be good to hear if there were any positive moves towards reducing violence or how the community has been supporting each other throughout these difficult times. It's just important that Bernard’s loved ones know that they're not alone and that people still care and remember him. Thoughts or insights?
