Has anyone else been deeply affected by the account of the woman who initially discharged her gun at that party? What could have been going through her mind to think that was the right course of action in that chaotic moment? In the chaos and fear of that night, she might not have realized the devastating consequences that followed. It’s such a tragic reminder of how quickly situations can escalate when firearms are involved. My thoughts have been with Donovan’s family ever since this case unfolded—his mother, Crystal Matthews, showed incredible strength throughout the trial. I can’t imagine how hard it must be to find peace after such a senseless event.
