I’ve been thinking a lot about that horrible day at the Woodland Village apartment complex, and there's a part of the case that really hits me hard. Sheldon Livingston and Duwan Williams were asleep when they were attacked. It’s so chilling and upsetting to think about — they had no chance to defend themselves or even react. It just feels so unfair. My heart truly goes out to their families. Knowing that someone’s loved ones were ripped away while they were in such a vulnerable state must bring an overwhelming sense of helplessness. The whole community’s felt this loss keenly, and I hope we can all keep holding Sheldon and Duwan's families in our thoughts as they navigate this indescribable pain.
