Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Michael McKinsey Mathis and something caught my attention that I haven't seen discussed much. The relationship between community surveillance cameras and solving crimes like these. It's been a few years since they started urging folks to share their footage, but I’m curious—how effective has this been historically in catching perpetrators in similar cases?
In so many tragic incidents, it seems like small details, sometimes captured by chance, can make a huge difference. With the rise in drive-by shootings around Newberry during that time, I wonder if residents installing more security systems could have helped or if those efforts have led to any other breakthroughs. It feels like capturing the right angle could mean justice served sooner, yet there’s still no answers for Michael’s family.
Any insight or personal experience with surveillance helping in cases like this would be appreciated. It’s so important to keep discussing these cases to help bring closure to families and bring those responsible to justice. Keeping Michael's loved ones in my thoughts.
