I've been following the case of Kodie Patrick, and I keep thinking about how the location played into this tragedy. It's so unsettling to know this happened in a seemingly ordinary place like the Landmark Inn. It makes you realize these terrible things can unfold just about anywhere, even in places where people stay for vacations or business trips. I feel terrible for Kodie's family and friends who have to live with this unimaginable loss. And given she was pregnant, it’s all the more painful. Can't stop thinking about how we need to raise more awareness around domestic violence and mental health to prevent these incidents from happening. It's heartbreaking that it often takes tragedies like this to get people talking about these issues. My thoughts are with everyone impacted by this sad event.
