I've been thinking a lot about CJ and how brave he was on that awful night. It's truly devastating to hear how he stayed composed amidst such chaos. Despite having his weapon, he chose not to use it, likely to avoid escalating the situation further. It takes a lot of courage and selflessness to make a decision like that, especially with so many lives at risk.
I've seen many people in the community sharing how kind-hearted and protective CJ was by nature. It's no surprise he worked as a security guard — he clearly cared deeply about the safety of others. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones who have to endure this tremendous loss. I hope they find some comfort in knowing how much he was appreciated by the community.
It's so frustrating to see these gang-related incidents continuing to cause such devastation. I really hope the ongoing investigation gets the answers needed to bring justice to CJ and the other victims. We need to prioritize peace and safety, not just talk about it. If anyone has more updates on the case, please share. We need to keep CJ's story alive.
I’ve been following the Lavish Lounge case closely, and something that really struck me is the lack of adherence to safety protocols at the venue. From what I’ve gathered, the nightclub was operating against COVID-19 restrictions, which raises major concerns. How could such a prominent place ignore regulations meant to protect people’s health and safety? It seems like a dangerous environment was almost fostered. Clarence Sterling Johnson and Mykala Bell should still be alive today; they were caught in such a tragic situation that perhaps could’ve been mitigated with proper oversight by the club’s management. On top of grieving losses, their families now have to grapple with the frustrating reality of what might have been preventable. This just reinforces how critical it is for businesses to follow not just the letter, but the spirit of the law, prioritizing safety above profits. Heart goes out to the victims and their loved ones who have to deal with this added layer of injustice on top of their profound loss.
