Has anyone else noticed the increasing number of missing persons cases in Death Valley recently? It's alarming how often we're seeing stories like Peter Harootunian's. I've read that his car was found at the Emigrant Campground, and it makes me wonder why that spot? Was he trying to hike from there, or did he decide to explore off the beaten path? Considering the extreme temperatures, I'm curious if anyone has theories on why someone would venture out alone in that area when it's so hot. The conditions are perilous, and it's a stark reminder of how unpredictable the desert can be. I hope his family gets some answers soon. If anyone's been around that area around May of last year or has any insights, please share. Stay safe out there, folks!
