Did anyone else catch the point about Jairus working as a confidential informant for the Laurens Police Department before he was killed? It seems like such a brave decision considering the risks involved, especially with gang activity like the Gangster Disciples being prevalent in the area. It's upsetting that his courage to help law enforcement ultimately put him in harm's way. I hope this case serves as a wake-up call to the authorities on just how much protection is needed for those willing to step up against organized crime. Sending thoughts out to his family—they didn’t just lose a loved one, they lost someone who was clearly committed to making a positive impact in his community.
