Has anyone else been struck by how much of a role Devon's friends and the community have played in keeping his memory alive? I recently attended one of the memorial services, and it was a powerful reminder of the tight-knit family he had around him. It was clear that Devon was loved by so many, and seeing everyone come together to honor him was incredibly moving. The speeches about his bright personality and the future he was supposed to have were touching. It’s comforting to see that even amidst the pain, people are coming together not just to remember Devon, but also to push for changes in the community to prevent such tragedies from happening again. It's a painful process, but I hope activities like these can contribute to healing for everyone involved.
