I've been following the case of Earnest Croft's murder, and there's an aspect that's been on my mind. I keep wondering about the impact on the younger folks in Aiken, especially since both suspects, Wise and Harlin, are so young themselves. It's so tragic to think about how many lives were negatively affected by that one horrific night on Aldrich Street.
Not only does Earnest's family have to endure the unimaginable pain of losing him, but now two families face their children being accused of such serious crimes. It makes me wonder about the broader implications for the community's youth—are there enough support systems in place? Do they feel like they have other paths they can take?
