Has anyone else been following the discussion around the efforts for harsher gun laws in Columbia in the wake of Josiah Sanders' passing? I can't help but think about how community leaders are pushing for these changes, especially after such a tragic event. It seems like Josiah's case has really highlighted these broader issues of gun violence affecting our youth. I commend the community leaders and the school for stepping up and providing support and counseling to those who’ve been hit hard by this tragedy. It must be incredibly tough for his fellow students and teachers who knew him personally. I really hope that these conversations lead to actual change, so we can prevent more heartbreaking losses like this one. What do others think? Are tougher gun laws the answer, or is there more that we should be focusing on? How do we ensure Josiah didn’t lose his life in vain?
