I can't even begin to imagine the pain DeAndre's family is going through right now. My heart goes out to them during this incredibly difficult time. I was thinking about how DeAndre was just jumping on the bed at his grandparents' house when he was struck—such an innocent moment that many of us remember fondly from our own childhoods. It's a grim reminder of how senseless and cruel this act of violence was. It's shocking to see how gun violence can abruptly shatter the safety of our homes, even in a small community like Ridgeland. I hope the ongoing trial brings some measure of justice for DeAndre and his family.
I’ve been following DeAndre Robinson’s case, and I can't stop thinking about the impact this horrible incident has had on his family and community. It must be so incredibly difficult for them, especially during the holiday season. I can’t even begin to imagine what his grandparents are going through, knowing that this happened while he was in the safety of their home.
Has anyone else felt frustrated by how common these types of senseless acts have become? It’s just so tragic that DeAndre’s life was cut short like this. Kudos to the law enforcement agencies for catching Gregory Harris Scott; it’s a step toward justice, but it still doesn’t bring back a precious life.
I truly hope the trial process brings some closure and comfort to DeAndre’s family, though we all know nothing can truly fill the void left by such a loss. Sending thoughts to everyone in Ridgeland affected by this. Let’s all continue to push for change to prevent these tragedies from happening to more innocent lives.
I can't stop thinking about the pain that DeAndre's family must be going through, especially with how innocent and joyful he seemed. This little boy should have had so many more years to jump around and enjoy his childhood. It's such a relief that the law enforcement agencies worked so well together to arrest Gregory Harris Scott. I can't imagine the strength it took for DeAndre's mom, Deanna, to thank the community and the police while she must be dealing with unimaginable grief. It really emphasizes the need for us to support victims' families and push for measures that can prevent such tragedies. Sending love to everyone involved, and hopes for a fair trial and eventual peace for all who loved DeAndre.
