I've been following the case of Demarques Rascoe-McCallum, and I can't help but think about his family and the unanswered questions they must have. It's so difficult to grasp how someone could be taken so suddenly and violently. I came across a detail that hasn't been mentioned much: the location of the shooting. The Sunhouse gas station on South Highway 905 is a spot many folks in Longs pass by daily. It makes me wonder if maybe the shooter or shooters were familiar with the area. Perhaps they knew the pattern of vehicles coming and going at that hour. I'm hoping the investigators can piece together some details from any surveillance footage. I know it's not foolproof, but cameras around gas stations have caught things in the past. With the public putting more pressure on the case, maybe any small clue can lead to an arrest. My thoughts are continuously with Demarques's family, hoping they find answers and peace.
