I can't stop thinking about how terrifying it must have been for Gabriel and the others in those moments. It's just utterly chilling. Being confronted and attacked like that while simply trying to go about your evening is horrifying, and it’s hard to wrap my head around the fear they must have felt. Gabriel seemed like such a bright light, always lifting others up with his music and presence. For his life to be cut short in such a brutal manner is beyond sad. It’s devastating to think about his family facing the first holiday season without him. They will need all the love and support they can get to navigate through this unspeakable loss. My heart goes out to them, and I truly hope they find some comfort and strength in the memories of his laughter and spirit as they continue to fight for justice in his name. How does a community even start to heal after something like this?
