Has anyone else been intrigued by the legacy left by Allen Britt's tragic end and how it is still part of our cultural conversations? I recently learned that Frankie Baker, who was acquitted after claiming self-defense, struggled with her notoriety for years after the trial. It's almost like her acquittal gave her freedom legally but not socially, as she was constantly associated with the song "Frankie and Johnny." It must have been an incredibly difficult time for both Britt's and Baker's families, with one losing a son and the other trying to live with the burden of public judgment. I'm curious about how media frenzy and public opinion back then influenced the lives of those involved in the case and how that compares to similar cases we see today. Thoughts?
