I've been thinking a lot about Walter Scott's case, and I can't shake the feeling of how devastating betrayal can be. To have someone you trust so deeply be involved in your demise is just unimaginable. The fact that his own wife played a part in hindering justice and was involved with the murderer is chilling. It really makes you wonder about the history between JoAnn and James Williams—what was going on in their minds? There's also something eerie about how James was able to manipulate and take two lives, first his wife's and then Walter's, before being caught. It’s a relief that justice was finally served, but I can't help thinking about the pain Walter’s friends and family must have felt, not only losing him but enduring years of uncertainty. It’s a haunting reminder of how appearances can be deceiving.

I keep thinking about the role of music in Walter Scott's life and how it must've been such a profound outlet for him. It's chilling to think that someone who brought joy and entertainment to so many people met such a tragic and unjust end. Scott achieved fame with “(Look Out For) The Cheater,” a song that now eerily mirrors the betrayal he faced in his personal life. It's as though the lyrics were a dark premonition of what was to come. My heart goes out to his family and fans who cherished his music and memory. It’s gut-wrenching that instead of celebrating his legacy, they had to grapple with such a devastating loss. When I listen to his songs now, there’s a haunting undertone knowing the tragedy behind the voice. It's a reminder of how we never truly know the burdens others carry, even as we enjoy the art they create. ?
