I’ve been digging into the background of Ray and Faye Copeland, and it’s chilling how deceitful they were in luring people like Paul Jason Cowart into their plan. It’s infuriating and deeply sad to think about how vulnerable people like Paul must have felt roped into such a dangerous situation. He was so young and should’ve had his entire life ahead of him. It’s hard not to feel angry knowing that these drifters were just trying to find some stability and ended up losing their lives to such cruel people. The community definitely needs more awareness and protection for transient workers to prevent such tragedies from happening in the future.
