I've been thinking a lot about the Dogtown neighborhood and how this tragic event has cast such a heavy shadow over it. I grew up pretty close to that area and to hear about something so violent happening there is truly unsettling. It's hard not to feel a deep sense of unease knowing that this sort of violence can strike anywhere, even in places you once felt safe. Tequila didn't deserve what happened to her. I can't imagine the pain her family is going through, especially her mom, Karen. They must be living with so many unanswered questions. It's encouraging to see the community rallying to remember Tequila and push for answers. I hope it serves as a wake-up call for stronger support systems and protective measures for those caught in similar situations. We need to make sure that victims of stalking and domestic violence aren't just statistics, but real people whose lives deserve protection and justice.

I was just thinking about the role that the community played in supporting Tequila's family during such an unimaginably difficult time. From what I understand, there were several vigils held in her honor, and the turnout was always quite significant. It’s heartwarming to see people come together to support a family in grief and to stand united against violence in the community. It makes me wonder how much impact these kinds of community responses have on ongoing investigations. Like, does it help keep the pressure on the authorities to pursue leads more aggressively? I really hope it does because Tequila and her family deserve every bit of justice. Her family seems incredibly strong, and knowing the community stands with them must offer some comfort, even if just a little. If anyone has been to any of those gatherings, I’d love to learn more about how they’ve been involved and how they’ve seen the community’s support evolve over time.
