Did anyone else notice that this happened right across the street from Langston Middle School? It’s chilling to think about how close this was to a place where kids spend so much of their day. The students and staff must’ve been terrified, not to mention how distressing it must be for parents. I'm really concerned about the safety implications here. It makes you wonder if security around schools needs to be amped up, or if there’s more the community can do to ensure kids aren't exposed to these violent scenes so close to their daily lives. My heart goes out to Michael and Ashley’s families; it’s a total tragedy and the fact that it happened in such a sensitive area means it's impacting even more people than we can imagine. Does anyone know if the school has made any changes after this incident?
