I can't stop thinking about the eyewitness account provided by Anthony Hempstead's friend, Eligah Burleson. It must have been incredibly traumatic for him to witness such a horrible event and then have to relive it through his testimony. I can't imagine the courage it must take to stand up in court and recount those moments. His bravery has been pivotal in the case against Terrance Vance, and it's clear that Eligah did this not just for justice, but for Anthony. It's such a painful reminder of how violence doesn't just affect the victim but shatters entire communities and friendships. My thoughts go out to Eligah and everyone else who was close to Anthony; they’ve been through so much. Has anyone else heard about how Eligah is doing now? I hope he’s finding support and strength from those around him.

Anthony Hempstead’s tragic death left such a profound impact on the community. What really caught my attention was the vigil that happened on the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Pacific Street. About 50 people came together to honor Anthony and stand against the senseless violence that took him away from his loved ones. It’s truly moving to see neighbors uniting in such difficult times, showing their support for Anthony’s family and each other. These gatherings are so important in highlighting how violence affects us all and hopefully strengthen our resolve to prevent future tragedies. Has anyone else attended the vigil or similar events? I'd love to hear more about these community efforts and how they’ve influenced you or inspired further action.
