Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Steven and James Dent? I can’t stop thinking about the impact their deaths must have had on their family and community. It infuriates me that these senseless acts of violence keep happening. What gets me is how their bodies were found so separately, Steven on Julian Avenue and James on Goodfellow Boulevard. In my mind, it raises questions about what happened in those final moments. Were they ambushed, or did they try to run? It seems like such an intentional act. I hope this case gets the attention it deserves, not just for the Dents but for everyone affected by the violence in Saint Louis. It’s hard to imagine how their family is coping without answers or justice. Has there been any update on potential eyewitnesses or suspects? I really hope someone comes forward with information that can bring some closure.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the Dent brothers — Steven and James — ever since I first heard about what happened on that awful morning in September 2014. It’s just so painful knowing that in just a matter of moments, their lives were cut short, and they were taken away from their family and friends. The fact that they were found so close to each other makes it that much more haunting. What strikes me is how this tragedy is a part of a bigger, grim tapestry of violence in Saint Louis. Six homicides in one day is beyond comprehension. It’s tough to wrap your mind around why or how this keeps happening. I really hope that their case doesn’t get lost amid so much chaos and that every effort is made to find whoever is responsible. The impact on their family must be unimaginable. They don’t just need closure for what happened to Steven and James but also some sense of safety and peace in their own community. I keep thinking about how these losses ripple out, affecting not just the immediate family but everyone who knew and loved them. It’s a stark reminder of the human cost behind every statistic we hear about. I’m holding out hope that with time, someone will come forward, and that will be the break needed to finally bring some justice for the Dent family. Their story needs to be heard and remembered, to help push forward conversations about gun violence and its devastating consequences. If you know anything or can assist in any way, please consider how much it could mean to those left in the wake of this senseless act.

Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Steven and James Dent for a while and something that really sticks with me is how the community responded in the days following their deaths. From what I've read, there were candlelight vigils and community gatherings, not just to honor the brothers but also to raise awareness about the surge of gun violence in Saint Louis. It seems like the local organizations really rallied together, trying to put pressure on the city officials to take more action against the growing violence. It's gut-wrenching to think about how Steven and James’s loved ones have had to endure this loss, compounded by the fact that, all these years later, the suspects remain at large. I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be for the family to feel like justice isn’t coming fast enough. If any of you are from the area or have connections there, are these community efforts still ongoing? It'd be good to know there's continued support and pressure for change. Sending thoughts to the Dent family and hoping there's a breakthrough in the investigation soon. ?
