I've been following the case of the quadruple homicide at the Economy Inn where Lewis Green and the others lost their lives. My heart truly goes out to Lewis's family and the families of the other victims, who had to wait so many years for justice. One aspect that really struck me was the delay between when the charges were initially dropped and when they were refiled. It must have been agonizing for the families to deal with the rollercoaster of emotions during that period. I can't even begin to imagine the frustration and helplessness they must have felt seeing the case go cold for a while. The fact that ballistics evidence initially didn't hold up shows just how intricate these investigations can be. Hats off to law enforcement for not giving up and finding a way forward to eventually get a conviction. It’s a real testament to their dedication, but also a reminder of how important it is for evidence to be thoroughly scrutinized right from the start. Does anyone have more insight into how they managed to overcome the issues with the ballistics evidence or how the community supported the families during those tough times? It’s stories like these that remind me how small efforts by many can make a big difference over time.

I've been following the case of Lewis Green and the Economy Inn murders for years now, and I can't help but feel for Lewis's family. Losing someone in such a violent and senseless way is unimaginable. What sticks with me is how close Lewis was to his family, something that you keep seeing in every article or mention about him. It's clear he was deeply loved by his mom and siblings. It's a small comfort knowing Scott Goodwin-Bey was finally brought to justice, but it must have been such an exhausting and painful journey for the families involved, especially with the dropped charges back in 2016. I hope the conviction has provided some peace to them. Sending all my thoughts and support to those who continue to live with the loss of Lewis and the other victims.
