Just read about Lavell Boyd’s case on here and can’t believe how terrifying it must’ve been for him, just stopped at a red light, not knowing what was about to happen. I keep thinking about the people who witnessed it or were nearby, like the household on Gast St. It’s awful to imagine a little girl getting hurt just from being collateral damage in such a violent act. It's a reminder of how gun violence can ripple out far beyond the intended target. I don’t understand how there still seem to be no suspects or concrete leads after all this time. It makes me so sad for Lavell’s family and everyone affected. I hope someone comes forward soon with any piece of information, no matter how small. Saint Louis deserves to see justice served, and it feels like the kind of community where people would come together to help if they can. I guess here’s hoping that happens soon.

I was reading about Lavell Boyd's case recently, and something that really stood out to me was the ripple effect his tragic loss has had on the community. It's absolutely devastating to think about how his family and friends must be feeling, not to mention the neighbors in the area who were affected—especially the young girl injured in her own home due to this senseless act. It's a harsh reminder of how violence doesn't just touch direct victims; it leaves a lasting impact on everyone around. I hope the community can rally together to support one another and provide any information that might help the detectives find those responsible. Boyd's loved ones deserve answers and justice, and the community needs healing. Stay safe, everyone, and let's keep talking and sharing to keep the hope for justice alive.
