I came across VerNea Watson’s case again recently, and it’s so frustrating to think about how long it's been without any resolution. I can only imagine the pain her friends and family have gone through these years, not having answers. What gets me is that there must be someone out there who knows something pivotal about that night. I hope that over time, memories can resurface or someone finds the courage to share what they know. Sometimes it only takes one detail to unravel everything. With the anniversary coming up, maybe there’ll be renewed interest and someone will finally step forward. If anyone on here is from the Kansas City area, please keep an eye out for any events or vigils that might be happening. It’s important to stand in solidarity with those still seeking justice for VerNea.
