Has anyone else been closely following the impact statements during Danny Welte's sentencing? I felt so much empathy for Echo's daughter, Bethany Wellman. It must have taken so much courage for her to speak in court after all that she's been through. The way she described how her family has been torn apart was really powerful and made me think about how domestic violence affects the entire family, not just the victim. It's such a stark reminder that these tragic events leave deep, lasting scars on everyone involved. I really hope the community can rally around Bethany and the rest of Echo's family to support them as they continue to heal. Anyone know if there are resources or groups in Kirksville that are reaching out to help?
