Has anyone else been following the details about the surveillance footage from the BP gas station in Dorron Blackmon's case? I can't stop thinking about how crucial that footage was in identifying Dionandre Ganter and Michael Sewell. It’s chilling to think about how often these cameras capture crimes in progress, and yet, they can be instrumental in solving such cases. My heart goes out to Dorron's family; having this evidence must be such a difficult thing to process. At the same time, I’m glad that it’s helping to bring some level of justice. It’s unsettling to realize the extent of violent crime in our communities, but knowing that there are tools and systems in place to hold those responsible accountable gives me a bit of hope. What do you all think about the role of surveillance in solving cases like this?
