I recently read about Deanna Merritt's tragic case, and I'm really troubled by the whole sleepwalking defense. While it's disturbing to think this could have been an accident, there's just too much that doesn't add up for me. Packing Deanna's belongings in Ault's car seems more like he was planning something, not someone who had a sudden, unintentional incident. Also, the fact that Ault washed his hands before law enforcement arrived feels intentional. It must be incredibly painful for Deanna's family to process all of this, especially when someone they once trusted was involved. My heart goes out to them as they navigate this pain and seek justice for Deanna. Has anyone else been following the legal tactics used in this case? It feels like there's still so much to unpack here.
