I'm really troubled by how the whole situation escalated so quickly. One aspect that keeps haunting me is the fact that Khiry was just starting his journey at SIUE, full of hopes and dreams for the future. It's devastating to think about all the opportunities and experiences he was robbed of due to this senseless act of violence. As someone who's been a part of a close-knit university community, I can only imagine the ripple effect his passing must have had on his friends and fellow students. The university must have been heartwarming in their support for Khiry’s loved ones, but nothing truly fills the void of losing someone so young. Sending strength to everyone affected by this unimaginable tragedy.
