Reading about Deandre Kelley Jr. and the others who lost their lives in Glasgow Village has been weighing heavily on my mind. I can't imagine the deep void their friends and family must be feeling. One detail that's been haunting for me is how the family had taken Ja'Vonne Dupree in during his time of need. It makes the betrayal that much more unfathomable. Patricia Steward and her family were trying to help someone in a tough spot, which speaks volumes about their character and kindness. It's tragic to see how their goodwill was repaid in such a horrific manner. I hope we learn from stories like these and continue to support families dealing with such immense loss. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this senseless act of violence.
