Hey everyone, I've been following Sean Harris's case and something that's been on my mind is the plea deal Artilius Jordan took. It's unsettling to think about how complex plea deals can be in the justice system. I understand that they serve a purpose, but does capping Jordan's sentence at 20 years seem just to anyone else, especially considering the loss Sean's family has to bear? I can't help but feel for the community and Harris's loved ones, knowing they have to grapple not only with his loss but also with the legal proceedings and outcomes that might not feel entirely fair.
