I recently stumbled across the case of Ollie J. Johnson III, and it's just one of those stories that reminds you how real the crime crisis was in Indianapolis back in 2007. What's been bothering me is how many of these cases from that period seemed to fall through the cracks. From what I've read, Ollie's death was part of a disturbing trend of violence, yet it feels like there was so little follow-up in the media. I can't imagine what his loved ones must have gone through, having to say goodbye at Crown Hill without complete answers. And amid all of that, running into the same battle for attention and resources that many families faced back then. It's important we remember these individuals, not just as statistics in crime reports but as people who deserve justice and peace. Has anyone read anything recently about possible updates or efforts to look into these older cases more thoroughly? It'd be great to think that some progress could be made, even now.
