I just came across this case again while looking through old news articles, and it still deeply haunts me. Katrina Banks’ dedication to her son's future and her community is something that hits close to home for many of us. I mean, pursuing her education while handling a demanding job and being a mom is no small feat. I keep thinking about Kevin too—15 is such a young age, with so much ahead of him. The details of what happened that night are chilling and unsettling. It really makes you wonder if there were warning signs that friends or family might have missed. Mental health is so crucial, and situations like this remind us how important it is to reach out and check in on loved ones. My heart truly goes out to the surviving daughter and the entire family left to pick up the pieces. Those first responders and investigators must have had such a tough job dealing with this scene, both physically and emotionally. Has anyone heard how the community has been supporting them in the aftermath? I hope they're finding some peace.

It's been over five years, but the loss of Katrina and Kevin still weighs heavily on many of us. I recently read about how Katrina was not just a dedicated worker and mother, but also a student pursuing her dreams at Washington University. It's devastating to think about the potential and ambitions that were so tragically cut short. Her commitment to education, even amidst her busy life, speaks volumes about the kind of person she was—always striving for more while balancing her role as a mother and professional. I can't help but think about her 4-year-old daughter, who lived through such a traumatic event. It’s a relief that she survived, but at what cost? I hope she's receiving all the love and support she needs from those around her. I can't even imagine how difficult it must be for her as she grows up without her mother and brother. If anyone knows more about how the community is stepping in to support her, I'd love to hear it. It's important we keep this family in our thoughts and continue to support them however we can.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the surviving little girl in the tragedy involving Katrina Banks and Kevin Robinson. It's so incredibly difficult to imagine what a 4-year-old must have gone through that night, having to pretend to be asleep to survive. I hope she's in a loving environment now, with people who can help her heal from such a terrifying experience. It's inspiring to see the community rally around her, but it’s also a reminder of the long road ahead for her healing process. How do you even begin to explain such a thing to a child? I just hope she's surrounded by love and care and that her late mom and brother's spirit guide her through life. If anyone has any insight into how you help a child cope with such trauma, I'd be really interested to hear. My thoughts are with everyone who knew this beautiful family.
