I've been reading about the tragic case of little Ja'Mariel. It's just so deeply saddening to think about how this precious life was ended so suddenly. What's really concerning is the role alcohol played that day. We've seen time and again how alcohol can lower inhibitions and escalate situations that might otherwise be resolved without violence. It's truly alarming that a quarrel between siblings, which probably seemed trivial compared to this outcome, led to such a tragedy. My heart goes out to Ja'Mariel's mother and family—what they must be going through is unimaginable. I'm also thinking about the importance of addressing substance abuse alongside gun safety in preventing future tragedies. How do we better educate our communities on these critical issues? Anyone familiar with local resources that may be working on this?
