I’ve been following the details surrounding Chuckie Marion’s case, and something that stands out to me is the level of fear and chaos that must've been present during those final moments. I can’t imagine the terror Chuckie felt trapped in that bathroom when the door was kicked in. It's just awful to think about. I hope Chuckie’s family finds some peace knowing that the legal system did take action, but it’s such a tough situation no matter how you look at it. Can’t help but think about his friends and family who miss him every day. Gun violence really does create ripples affecting so many lives, and I hope more discussions around prevention start coming to the forefront because this is becoming all too common in our communities.
