I was browsing through NamUs and came across Azucena Morenoescalera's case again and couldn't help but wonder about the significance of her last known location in Pomona. Was that spot special to her in any way, or was it just a random place where she was last seen? It's curious that the authorities haven't released much about the circumstances. For those local to Pomona, was there any buzz or rumors around the time she disappeared? Sometimes small communities hear whispers that aren't reported.
Also, does anyone know if Azucena had any connections or family in Mexico? If she did travel there, that could be a crucial lead. I really wish more information was available to the public so we could help out more effectively. If there are any detectives or locals who might know something, please share insights! Keeping hope alive that this gets solved soon.
Has anyone looked into whether Azucena might have tried to contact friends or family in Mexico? Given that she might have traveled there, it seems like someone could have seen or heard from her. It feels like not enough focus has been placed on the connections she might have in Mexico. If she did go there voluntarily, maybe she reached out to someone she trusted or could have been seen in places popular among travelers. It’s critical for authorities to explore this angle fully and see if there are any traces of her crossing the border or being in areas where she might have known people. It must be incredibly frustrating not knowing if she followed a trail intentionally or if something happened to her while on the way. What’s puzzling is that there’s so little information out there about any sightings or contacts since 2018. I hope they haven’t given up on that lead.
