I can't stop thinking about what Jesus Reyes' family must be going through. It's so painful to lose a child, especially in such a senseless way. The fact that this all happened over an illegal gun transaction just adds another layer of tragedy. It's scary to think how easily these firearms seem to be circulating among teenagers. I know the police found a Glock 27 at Rodriquez’s house and other firearms too. It makes me wonder how these kids even get their hands on these weapons. There has to be more we can do to prevent this kind of access. I truly hope that through this devastating loss, the community can come together to make changes and keep kids safer. My thoughts are definitely with Jesus’ loved ones and hoping for healing for everyone affected by this nightmare.

It’s deeply unsettling to realize how young everyone involved in this case was. I can't stop thinking about how this was probably not just some random meeting but a tragic culmination of poor decisions and a lack of guidance. How did these kids, barely out of high school, find themselves dealing with guns? My heart goes out to Jesus Reyes and his family. Losing a child is beyond comprehension, and it's devastating to think about the future he was robbed of. I hope there's a larger conversation that comes out of this about youth, access to firearms, and the importance of mentorship programs to guide kids away from these kinds of situations. There's a lot of blame to go around, but perhaps there are systemic issues we need to address so tragedies like this can be prevented in the future. What more can be done to ensure young people have safe alternatives and the guidance they need?
