Has anyone else noticed how many young lives are being claimed by gun violence in Saint Louis, especially in areas like Palm Avenue? I recently came across the case of Cornell Nelson, who was only 22 when he was tragically killed in 2018. It's absolutely devastating to think about how much potential and how many dreams were lost that day. From what I've read, there hasn't been much progress in the investigation, but it seems to be a pattern with these horrific incidents. It's frustrating and sad to see these cases not getting the attention they deserve. For the families and friends left behind, they deserve answers and justice. I think this really highlights the urgent need for better community programs and stronger prevention strategies to tackle the root issues of gun violence in the city. Saint Louis is an amazing place with so much to offer, but this level of violence can’t be ignored. Thoughts on what we as a community can do to push for change?

I've been following the case of Cornell Nelson, and what's particularly striking to me is the lack of media coverage and public awareness about his tragic death. It's been over five years, and it's disheartening to think that his story hasn't received the attention it deserves. Cornell was so young, just 22, with his whole life ahead of him. You can sense the frustration and pain from the community, and from what I've seen, people are demanding more transparency and action from authorities. It's important that we keep talking about Cornell and others like him to ensure that these cases aren't forgotten. Every person deserves justice and every voice lifting them up matters, especially when it feels like the system isn't doing enough. I've seen some heartfelt tributes to him online, but it seems like there's a need for more solidarity in addressing these issues. In the grand scheme of things, what more can we do as a community to push for real change and keep the memories of victims alive while seeking justice for them?

I've been following the case of Cornell Nelson, and it really strikes me how common it is for these tragedies to fade from public view. I feel for Cornell's family and the community that loved him; losing someone so young and full of potential must be unimaginably difficult. It seems like every time a victim of gun violence gets mentioned, the conversation shifts to statistics and the broader issue, but we can't forget the individual lives affected. Each one of these victims, like Cornell, leaves behind a void that's felt by people who love them. I wonder what Cornell's hopes and dreams were before this senseless act. Was he studying? Working towards a goal? We'll never get to see what he could have accomplished because this heinous act cut his life so tragically short. My heart goes out to all who've been touched by this loss, and I hope the investigation steps up so the family can find some justice or peace.
