Did anyone catch the community event last week that Raymond Ocasio's family organized? It was beautiful to see so many people from Ashland come together to support the search efforts. The way they’ve been using social media to keep his story alive is really inspiring. It’s a small town but the sense of community is strong. I wonder if this will bring in any new leads. It's tough to keep the momentum going in these cases, but it’s crucial. Anyone here attend the event or have any updates on what was discussed? I’m really hoping all this awareness leads to something more concrete soon.
I’ve been following Raymond Ocasio’s case since it first hit the news back in 2018, and something that's been on my mind lately is the role of the community in these types of searches. With Raymond, it seems like the Ashland community really came together—sharing flyers, hosting events, and keeping his name out there. I’ve seen how powerful that collective effort can be. It makes me wonder, what more can be done to ensure communities are well-prepared to act swiftly when someone goes missing? What are some effective ways to organize and maintain momentum over such long periods, especially when leads dry up early on? It's amazing what the power of people can do, but there must be challenging aspects, too. I’d love to hear any thoughts or experiences from others on here who’ve seen community action firsthand in missing person cases!
