Hey everyone,
I find myself thinking a lot about the community's response, or lack thereof, in Andre Norris's case. It’s understandable why people might be scared to speak up, but it makes me wonder about what kind of environment we’re living in where fear keeps us silent. Andre’s family and friends deserve closure, and it's just so sad that we’re at a point where the danger of retaliation is so real that it stifles justice.
What do you all think could be done to encourage more people to come forward in situations like this? It feels like there needs to be a change, whether it’s better protection for witnesses or something else entirely. Holding onto information that could solve such a senseless murder must weigh heavily, and I hope the community can come together to support those who might hold the key to finding Andre's killer.
Sending thoughts to Andre’s loved ones during this difficult time.
I’ve been following Andre Norris’s case since it happened back in '07, and I can’t help but feel for his family and friends who are still seeking justice after all these years. It's truly unsettling to think about the level of violence that gripped Illinois Street during that period. I was reading some old articles and it struck me how significant witness fear is in these situations; it's heartwrenching to consider how the fear of retaliation keeps people from speaking out and, in turn, stalls justice. I wonder if there's been any renewed efforts by the police or local community groups to create a safer environment for witnesses to come forward? It's so important for the community to feel that change is possible and that there's support for those who are willing to help solve these cases. I really hope that with new approaches or advancements in forensics, something will break in this case soon. Andre deserves justice, and his loved ones deserve closure.
