Has anyone else been following the heartbreaking case of DeAndre Moore Jr.? I've been thinking a lot about the community impact and what happens to the neighborhood after something like this. Seeing how the Major Case Squad stepped in to assist the Calverton Park Police makes me grateful for such dedicated law enforcement teams, but also frustrated that it takes a tragedy like this to highlight their efforts. Their work is undoubtedly crucial in these situations, but it feels like we're always playing catch-up instead of preventing these horrors in the first place. I'm curious about how this case might influence future policing strategies or community safety programs. This level of violence shouldn't be normalized, and I hope there are initiatives underway to address the underlying issues.
