Have any of you been following the case of Jose Duran from Saint Louis? I’ve been thinking a lot about the community’s role in unsolved cases like his. It’s so frustrating when these investigations hit a wall, especially when it seems like someone out there knows something but hasn't stepped forward. I've read that the Dutchtown neighborhood has experienced quite a bit of crime, which might make people hesitant to speak up out of fear or mistrust of law enforcement. But this is why community involvement is so vital. If even one person comes forward, it could make all the difference for Jose's family, who are still waiting for justice after all this time. It’s important for us as a society to support each other and encourage open communication with the authorities to hopefully bring some peace to the families affected by these tragedies. Keeping Jose’s story alive might ultimately help those in his community feel that their voices can lead to meaningful change.
