Has anyone else been following the community response to Lakeasha Taylor's murder? It's really been on my mind how her neighborhood came together in the days following her tragic death. There were vigils held, and many people spoke about how warm and vibrant she was. It's comforting to see how a community can support one another in times of grief, but it’s so sad that it takes such a horrific event for people to come together. I've read about similar situations where communities strengthen after violence, but I hope one day we can find ways to unite without it stemming from tragedy. Anyone else have thoughts on how we can foster these bonds before something sad like this happens?
