Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the ripple effects this case might've had on the community in Calwood. Losing Nathan in such a violent manner must've shaken a lot of people there. It’s a small place, and events like these leave lasting scars on the residents. I hear there’s been a push for more local initiatives to combat drug-related issues since what happened. It’s just terrible that it often takes a tragedy to spur action, but hopefully, the efforts can prevent future tragedies. One thing I haven’t seen discussed much is how Nathan’s family is coping now, years later, knowing that the people involved are behind bars but that it doesn’t bring Nathan back. If there’s anyone from the area, do you know if the community has done anything to honor Nathan’s memory? I think it’s important for us to remember the human side of these stories and not just the crime itself. Sending thoughts to Nathan’s friends and family. Stay strong.
