I can't stop thinking about how Manuel "Noli" Duran's disappearance remains such a mystery. It's both puzzling and worrying that despite all the efforts and searches, there's still no trace of his turquoise kayak or gold Chevrolet Astro van. I've been curious about the van in particular—I'd imagine it wasn't something that could just vanish without a trace. Did anyone ever spot it after he set off for this ambitious journey? There's something so strange about both being missing. With the vastness of the ocean and the distances involved, I'm wondering if the van might hold more clues than we realize. Has anyone heard if there were any sightings or tips related to the vehicle since 2018?
Has anyone else found it puzzling that both Noli's kayak and his van are missing? It's been a while since his disappearance, and I feel like this aspect hasn’t been talked about enough. If his plan was to kayak to the Philippines, wouldn’t he have had to leave his van behind somewhere? Did he possibly drive to a secluded spot to start his journey, or was there maybe some plan we don’t know about yet? Maybe some folks in Hawaii can share if they’ve heard of other similar kayaking adventures — perhaps there's a clue in how others have embarked on such trips. The whole situation feels like there’s just one missing piece that could tie things together. Thoughts?
I was reading through some articles about Manuel "Noli" Duran, and something really caught my attention – his choice of kayak color. It's said to be a turquoise one, which you'd think would stand out in the ocean, right? I’m curious if anyone familiar with maritime travel could weigh in on whether this color might help or hinder visibility from a considerable distance. Could it even play a role in search efforts if the kayak drifted off course? For someone like Noli, who seems so experienced, I wonder if the kayak color was chosen with a purpose. I’m hoping this detail might help spark some ideas or theories about where to keep looking. Any thoughts?
