Hey everyone, I’ve been following Brittany Hammond’s case and recently stumbled upon something that I can't shake off. Has anyone else wondered why there wasn't a more robust response from social media platforms about the disturbing post Brittany’s ex-boyfriend made? I mean, a post like that seems like a major red flag, right? And shouldn't it warrant some immediate follow-up from authorities or at least some intervention by the platform itself?
Also, could there be some social accountability here? Like, shouldn't there have been a bigger uproar from the online community about a post like that? I would think there’s a way to use public outcry to push for more action—or maybe even to encourage tech companies to adopt better practices for handling potentially serious threats caught in their networks. Thoughts?
Has anyone else noticed how Brittany Hammond's ex-boyfriend was able to post something as chilling as that Facebook picture without more consequences? It seems too bizarre to me that there’s a blatant digital footprint left behind, yet the investigation doesn't seem to have delved deeply into that angle. You'd think that such a disturbing post would be a key lead. Is there any other info about whether the cops questioned his friends or family? It's like there's a huge part of the puzzle just being left aside. Also, has anyone dug into whether there are any records of other social media interactions between them before she went missing? Just thinking out loud here, trying to connect dots that might lead somewhere.
