Did anyone else hear about the fundraisers that Benjamin Davis Jr.'s family has been organizing to raise awareness about gun violence? I think it's truly commendable how they’re channeling their grief into something positive. It must be incredibly difficult for them as they continue to search for justice for Benjamin. The community's support in these efforts could play a crucial role in not only keeping his memory alive but also in fostering a safer environment for everyone. It’s so important for us to rally around this cause and help amplify their voices. Has anyone participated or know how to get involved?
Hey everyone,
I'm really concerned about the ongoing violence in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood. Benjamin Alvin Davis Jr.’s untimely death hits hard. I feel deeply for his loved ones who are still waiting for answers and justice. It's just awful that such a vibrant life was cut short.
What really gets me is the community's silence. I understand there's fear and distrust when it comes to working with the police, but without some cooperation, it feels like these cases will remain unresolved. We need to encourage more dialogue between law enforcement and community members. They need to know they have a safe avenue for sharing information.
Maybe there’s a way for local leaders to facilitate this? I hope somehow, someway, a breakthrough comes for Ben’s family. They deserve closure, and our community needs to find a way to heal and protect each other.
