Does anyone else find it odd that Homer Marshall Ricker's family didn't report him missing until two months after his last sighting? I understand people might not always be in constant contact, but it feels like a long gap for family members to raise the alarm. Maybe they initially thought he was just out of touch for personal reasons? I'm curious if there's more context here that hasn't been shared publicly. Genuinely just trying to understand the dynamics at play; it can be tricky with adult missing cases. Anyone have insights or similar situations that might shed some light?
Anyone else following the Homer Ricker case developments? I find it so eerie that it took nearly five years for his remains to be discovered. The wooded areas in Greene County must be so dense and challenging to search if a person could go unnoticed there for so long. And while it's somewhat relieving that no foul play is suspected, it still puzzles me how there wasn't any trace of him all these years. What are your thoughts on why he might have ended up in that location? Could it have been an accidental fall or perhaps an intentional retreat? I'd love to hear other theories or similar cases where the resolution took years but didn't involve foul play.
