Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Patrick Burt, and it’s just weighing on my mind today. I can't stop thinking about how his community must be feeling after such a senseless act. What sticks with me is the location of the crime. It happened right at an apartment complex that probably has lots of families and people just trying to live their lives. It's unsettling to think that something so violent can happen in what’s supposed to be a safe space. What I’ve read makes me think about the people in those apartments who might have heard the shots or saw the aftermath. It’s a chilling reminder of how violence doesn’t just stop with the immediate victim and their family—it ripples through the entire community. And while the suspect was arrested right away, it's frustrating that details about what led up to this remain unclear. I keep coming back to the idea of community healing. How do neighborhoods and towns move forward when something like this happens? Through shared grief and support for each other, I hope. If there’s any update on vigils or events where people can come together, I think it would really help. My heart goes out to Patrick’s family and friends, hoping they find peace and strength somehow. If anyone else has thoughts on how communities cope with such tragedies, I'd love to discuss.
